Emergency Class offered for Customer Requests

I have had several customers who have requested another Christmas card class.  Yes, it will be too late to mail them but they want them to hand to family and friends over the holidays.  The class date is set for Friday December 19th at 7:00 PM.  It will be a fun night out so even if you don't need them for this year, you can get a head start on your cards for next year.  You can even make the cards at the class with other verses so you can use them for birthday cards as there are many who have winter birthdays.

Check out this fun and fabulous class with a great house box that I think is absolutely adorable if I might so so myself.  Please note the cards will  be slightly different then those shown in the photo, as I will  change up the paper some what from that shown in the photo.  The cost is $25 for the class 6  cards with envelopes and the box.  Please bring your snail (adhesive).  Sign up soon please!  I have a class to go option where I can mail you all the cardstock cut for the class for an extra $5 to cover postage.  The instructions will be E-mailed to you.

Christmas card extravaganza- Stamp a Stack

I had my 2nd Christmas card extravaganza where we stamped a stack of cards.  The ladies had a fun night out filled with friends, stamping and food all for $25.  Plus they left with 9 completed cards of 3 different designs.

Here are the cards that they made.  They all seemed to really enjoy the Big shot which we used in 2 different designs.                                                                                                                        The Brown leather look vintage card was inspiredby a very talented fellow demonstrator Kim Assaly and the other card using the same set (Snow Swirled (item # 111690 on page 32 of the fall/winter SU catalogue)  was one that Rochelle Hewitt made me in a swap.   It also uses my favorite decorative paper Holiday Treasures (item # 112469 on page 170)  The last card is made with acetate that I designed for a swap hosted by my Up-line Josee Smuck.  It uses the Winter Post set from the Holiday Mini catalogue item #111780 and the Ski Slope designer paper item # 112994.

Class: Christmas Card Stamp-a-Ganza

In my last post I had said that I would update my classes.  I did but I didn't tell you that it is on my calendar.  Here is one of the CHristmas card classes I have coming up.

Christmas Card Stamp-a-Ganza! What is Christmas Card Stamp-a-Ganza? It is a monthly class to make Christmas cards. Is making your own Christmas cards one of your goals? Then don't let the time pass you by -- now is the time to plan ahead. The Christmas Card Stamp-a-Ganza will be held for 4 consecutive months (September through December- 1st Friday night each month). Make 9 beautifully embellished cards each month - 3 each of 3 different designs. Participate just once or come every month and complete 36 quality, hand-made cards before the beginning of December. Registration fee is $25 per month. Please bring your adhesive or I will have extra on hand for purchase. Place a $35 order at any class and receive a free promotional item. Sign up for this as a "class-to-go" and for an additional $5 (per class) I will stamp your images for you and you can assemble your cards at your leisure at home. Class size is limited and pre-registration is required. Join me as we create Christmas greetings together

Fresh Cuts Class

My friend and fellow demo Linda Willman and I created this class together using the new Fresh Cuts stamp set.  Last night we had a fun night of stamping together, after we had a delicious spaghetti supper made by her wonderful husband Gord.

In a previous blog entry I introduced you to the Fresh Cuts stamp set that is a sneak peak item (advanced purchasing opportunity) for the new catalog that is being launched at the end of July. This class is geared around this beautiful stamp set.  Fresh Cuts is dye cut so there is no need for you to cut the rubber stamp yourself.  All you need to do is mount it.  So easy!

In this class we will be making 4 cards covering a gamete of stamping techniques.  You will learn how to make a vintage card which I think is really neat as at first glance at this set it has a modern appearance.  The vintage card also features the spotlighting technique. One of the cards will use water colour crayons in a wash technique and if you are like me, you love this fun and versatile medium.  Another technique is using the chalks.  I haven't used these in some time and so it was time to take out an old favorite and come up with a fun card using them. On another card we will use a template that I will show you how to create to make an easy boarder around the Fresh Cut die cut notes.  In addition we will use build a brad, ribbon and other accessories as finishing touches for the creations.  Truly a fun class with a large variety of techniques.

Class, Fresh Cuts Stamp set and designer notes cards all for only $40.  This is the best deal which is a value of over $55.00 and the best part is you'll have the stamp set to take home with you so you'll be able to play after the class is complete.  This package must be ordered by June 30th for this special price. After this date the cost of the class is $48.00

Date of Class:  Friday July 25th from 7-9pm.  You'll want to pre-regsiter now or by July 9th to ensure that the stamps arrive on time for the class.

Christmas in July Class

I know what you are thinking.  Christmas yikes!  Summer hasn't even arrived.  We are all more relaxed this time of year and as we get closer to the month of Christmas life gets very hectic.  So why not start your Christmas cards now.  You'll have them done very early and when others are stressed about getting their Christmas cards done yours will be done and you'll have more time to spend with family and friends during the generally hectic December.

There are 3 of my favorite Christmas stamp sets being retired, so for this class we are going to concentrate on those sets.  "Peaceful Wishes" pg 36, "The snow Flake Spot" and "Festive Favorites" both on page 35 in the spring/summer idea book and cataloge . Don't be disappointed, order these sets before they are gone forever.  You have until the end of July to order the sets and then the fall/winter catalog will be out.

I am still sorting out the exact Christmas cards that we will make in the class so the designs shown may not be exactly the ones you make in the class.  I am wanting to keep the cards very simple so that you can make a stack of easy cards in this class.

We will be making 6 easy cards using very simple stamping and colouring techniques.  I will be introducing you to the heat n stick powder used in conjunction with glitter.  This gives a wonderful sparkly bling to the card.  We will also use ribbon, punches, chrystal effects and beads from the pretties kit.

Cost:  $20 for 6 cards .  Wow how great a price is that!  Please bring your own adhesive such as snail to the class.
